About

Money and crypto calculators are only useful if you can trust the math. This page explains who builds them and the standard they’re held to.

Who builds these

These tools are built and reviewed by YJ Quant, a quantitative researcher working in applied quantitative modeling. I publish under a pen name, so the standard here isn’t a title on a badge — it’s that every calculator shows its formula and that the source is open. You can review the methods and code at github.com/yjquant/calc-tools.

The standard each calculator meets

The formula is shown.
Every tool prints the equation it uses. If you disagree with the method, you can see exactly where.
Assumptions are stated, not hidden.
Where a result depends on a choice — margin type, tax treatment, fees, compounding — the page names the choice and its effect.
Limits are admitted.
Each tool says what it excludes (for example, funding costs or tiered margins) rather than implying a single number is the whole truth.
Corrections are welcome.
If you find an error, tell me and it gets fixed. Accuracy matters more than looking finished.

Your data

The calculators run entirely in your browser. Numbers you type are used to compute a result on your screen and are never sent to a server or stored. See the privacy policy for how ads and analytics work.

Not financial advice

These tools are for education and planning. They don’t know your full situation and aren’t a substitute for advice from a licensed professional. For anything with real money at stake, confirm against your provider’s own figures.
